Keith Moorman

Keith Moorman has represented numerous clients in cases filed in the state and federal courts of Kentucky, New York, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, and has tried cases in Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee.  In the area of employment law, Mr. Moorman has defended public and private employers in actions alleging FMLA violations, ADA violations, gender discrimination, race discrimination, whistleblower violations, retaliation  for filing workers compensation claims, retaliation for reporting suspected discrimination, retaliation for engaging in speech protected by the First Amendment, and termination in violation of public policy.  

Mr. Moorman has also represented a number of employers seeking to enforce restrictive employment agreements or covenants not to compete. In the area of product liability, Mr. Moorman has defended  a number of products, including vinyl vapor barrier, polyurethane foam, prescription drugs, and animal vaccines.  In the area of general commercial litigation, Mr. Moorman has litigated cases alleging breaches of contract, bad faith, breaches of fiduciary duty, and matters involving statutory interpretation. 

While in law school, Mr. Moorman was a member of the Kentucky Law Journal and the Order of the Coif. After law school, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Edward H. Johnstone, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, from August of 1983, until August of 1985.  Mr. Moorman's undergraduate degree is in Forestry.
